Cathy Flynn qualified at the College of Integrative Acupuncture in Galway, Ireland where graduates complete an accredited Licentiate Programme. The training includes;

  • Detailed case history taking
  • Clinical year with a cross section of experienced Acupuncturists from Ireland & China
  • Ethnics of practice and when to refer a patient for medical attention
  • 5 elements and 8 principles approach
  • Supervised needling

Cathy also completed advanced post graduate clinical training in Beijing, China.

  • While there I gained invaluable experience in Acupuncture, Fire, Cupping and TCM diagnosis techniques
  • Attended the prestigious Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for lecturers from leading experts in TCM
  • Gained intensive clinical experience at leading hospitals in China - Hepingli Hospital [China - Japan Friendship Hospital] and Wangjing Hospital

Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association

The AFPA is the longest established and largest regulatory body for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in Ireland. As a member I comply with their code of Ethics and best practice and carry full Professional Liability and Public Indemnity Insurance. The guidelines set out by the Department of Health and Children are also adhered.

European Traditional Chinese Medicine Association

The ETCMA is an umbrella association of Professional Associations of Acupuncturists in Europe.
